Job Description

We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer to lead the development of web and mobile applications, with a primary focus on consolidating data and streamlining operations across our three businesses. This role is central to building a unified platform where customer, product, inventory, and pricing data can be managed efficiently from one system. Additionally, this role will involve providing IT consultation, setting up infrastructure, and ensuring best practices are followed for day-to-day operations.


The ideal candidate will work closely with us to develop and maintain a system that integrates platforms such as Xero, Shopify, and other tools, ensuring seamless data synchronization and efficient workflows.


Core Responsibilities


* Data Consolidation & Synchronization: Develop a centralized platform that acts as the single source of truth for data across the businesses, with real-time or near-real-time synchronization between systems like Xero and Shopify. The goal is to manage all data (customers, products, inventory, pricing) from one platform, enabling dynamic pricing rules and highlighting any data inconsistencies.


* Web & Mobile Application Development: Build employee-facing and customer-facing apps that support essential workflows like service management, inventory control, and customer interaction. Initially, focus on iOS mobile apps, with plans to expand to other platforms.


* Systems Integration: Seamlessly integrate third-party platforms (Xero, Shopify, Fishbowl, etc.) into a cohesive system, automating data flows between them and ensuring no manual intervention is required.


* IT Consultation & Best Practices: Provide IT consultation to help us set up best practices for our infrastructure, including areas like Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory setup, backup management, and automation. Offer advice on improving IT operations and suggest suitable solutions to meet our evolving needs.


* Process & Workflow Design: Collaborate with us to redesign workflows in areas like scheduling, stock management, and service operations, ensuring the platform supports efficient business processes.


* Scalability & Infrastructure: Design the system to scale as the business grows, ensuring the infrastructure remains cost-effective and adaptable. Implement cloud-based solutions that align with long-term business goals.


Key Skills & Qualifications


* Full-Stack Development: Experience in building and maintaining both web and mobile applications.


* Data Integration & Automation: Proven ability to integrate platforms like Xero and Shopify with automated data synchronization to maintain data integrity.


* Cloud Platforms & Scalability: Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) and designing scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure.


* Microsoft Ecosystem: Strong knowledge of Microsoft services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Azure) and how to use these for day-to-day operations and automation.


* IT Infrastructure Support: Experience in setting up and managing IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, backup solutions, and general Microsoft 365 administration.

Ongoing Involvement


This role includes ongoing maintenance and support, with a requirement for thorough documentation to ensure smooth handovers or future expansion. You will also provide consultation on IT-related decisions and assist with the implementation of best practices for operational efficiency.
