Lead Credit Risk Strategy

Dear Candidate:Overview:We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our Credit Risk Strategy team. The Risk Strategy Specialist will be responsible for developing data-driven strategies and policies to enhance risk management, evaluate framework effectiveness, manage subject specific dashboards and mentor team members. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data tools, and a deep understanding of consumer banking products and credit risk.Responsibilities:Drive tactical and strategic risk analytics for US bank Risk teams.Develop risk policies for POS lending, BNPL, and credit cards.Develop and implement comprehensive credit risk strategies to manage and mitigate risk across various credit products.Design A/B testing frameworks using DOE to enhance risk management.Lead the development of new rules and strategy by leveraging the existing data, managing the campaigns/monthly/ad-hoc dashboards, analyzing the trends and performing ad-hoc analysis.Perform policy analytics to ensure accurate customer targeting. Recommend improvements to business strategies and risk policies across acquisition and collections.Evaluate policy effectiveness, manage dashboards, and analyze performance metrics.Collaborate with cross-functional Risk Management teams. Summarize and report insights to senior leadership.Maintain strong credit risk knowledge.Manage projects with accuracy and timely delivery.Mentor and develop team members.Qualifications:Educational Background: A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. (IIT/NIT preferred)Industry Experience: 8+ years of proven experience in credit risk and analytics role within banking, fintech, or financial services. Excellent team management and client-facing skills.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAS/Python and SQL. Hands-on experience with Tableau/ Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Past experience in statistical analysis and knowledge of banking products.Excellent understanding of credit risk principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and types (technical/non-technical).
