Job Description SummaryAs a Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the development of new technologies to improve production efficiency, product quality, and safety in our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, implement new equipment or technology, and ensure successful integration into existing systems. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Operations, Quality Control, Maintenance, and other departments to understand current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement new manufacturing processes, including automation solutions, robotics, and advanced material handling systemsExperience working with automated equipment and robotics in a manufacturing environment.Design and optimize manufacturing layouts to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.Work with suppliers to evaluate new equipment and technologies, conduct feasibility studies, and select appropriate equipment for specific manufacturing needsImplement and validate new equipment, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and minimizing disruption to production schedules.Monitor performance metrics such as throughput, cycle time, and waste levels to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and make necessary adjustments.Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance personnel during implementation and troubleshooting.Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to streamline logistics and inventory control procedures.Ensure adherence to QMS. Draft & release WI's. Maintain eDHR. Lead investigations & drive CAPA. Lead Kaizen events focused on eliminating waste, improving quality, and increasing efficiency.Required QualificationsBachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience degree with 6+ years in manufacturing process engineeringMasters in Material Science / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering will be an added advantageStrong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology.Experience working with automated equipment and robotics in a manufacturing environment.Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines and organizational levels.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.Knowledge of basic financial concepts, cost estimation, and ROI analysis.Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Established project management skills.Inclusion and DiversityGE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
