Job Description

Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals drawn out by the organization from time to time. Develop project plan & execution schedule to meet project objectives. Effectively monitor, lead, and guide brown-field/green-field projects within financial budgets and timelines. Lead teams composed of diverse disciplines, including chemical, mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and utilities engineering. Develop the capabilities of project team in functional areas through appropriate strategies and programmes. Provide effective facilitation between cross-functional entities like Materials, Operations, HR, and Finance to ensure the smooth and timely completion of projects. Interface with third parties such as engineering consultants, EPC contractors, government departments like electric corporations, municipality, and regulatory authorities. Ensure that regulatory and company objectives related to safety, health, and environmental standards are met during the erection and commissioning phases of projects. Ensure the smooth commissioning of the plant and its seamless takeover in the capacity of Site Head and Factory Manager. Handle operations while ensuring that safety, volumes, quality and efficiency targets are met.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'AVP - Projects' should have:

At least 20 years of overall experience in project management within the Chemical Industry. Degree in Chemical Engineering Managed greenfield projects worth 200Cr+ Been in a production or process engineering or process improvement roles in his/her career Experience and successful record of commissioning and running manufacturing operations that would involve hazardous chemicals in large quantities. Knowledge of various statutory and regulatory compliances
