Mechanical Design InnovatorAt the intersection of AI and engineering, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Innovator to join our research team. As a key member of our applied research lab, you will play a vital role in shaping next-gen AI tools for design and engineering.Job Description:We're looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in CAD, product design, or simulation. You will work closely with our team of AI researchers to develop cutting-edge designs and evaluate their feasibility using advanced simulations. Your primary responsibilities will include:- Designing and modifying CAD files and assemblies from scratch for training and evaluation.- Reviewing CAD models, design sketches, and constraint systems to ensure their accuracy and completeness.- Collaborating with AI researchers to translate engineering workflows into training objectives and develop domain-specific knowledge graphs.Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need to have:- 3–5 years of professional experience in CAD, product design, or simulation.- Strong background in one or more of the following areas: • CAD/CAE tools: SolidWorks, Fusion 360, PTC Creo, Siemens NX, CATIA • Surfacing/Industrial design: Rhino 3D, Alias • Simulation: Ansys, Abaqus, COMSOL, MSC Nastran (structural, thermal, fluid, etc.) • Visualization/Rendering: Blender, KeyShot, V-Ray- Experience with PLM, parametric/generative design, or design automation is highly desirable.- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related fields (Master's/Ph.D. preferred).Benefits:You will enjoy working in a fast-paced research environment with opportunities to collaborate with experts in AI, CAD/CAE, and product development.
