Procurement Manager Job OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled procurement manager to join our dynamic team.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in handling solar PV projects procurement, with a strong background in international container shipping/freight forwarding and a proven track record in solar energy projects.Job Description:Analyze market data and industry benchmarks to uncover insights and identify best practices and savings opportunities.Develop and execute category strategies based on data insights and category knowledge.Evaluate and propose potential suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards.Validate projected savings from sourcing events.Independently lead and support strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations.Communicate with business unit leadership to understand requirements and support decision-making.Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships for effective procurement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with organizational goals.Ensure goods receipts from suppliers and deliveries to customer on time: resolve issues that might arise with deliveries (in/out) at warehouse/port/customs/transportation company.Ensure that all deliveries are in accordance with procedures and policy's set by governing authorities such as customs, VAT and export controlCreate and validate customs and freight documentation, timely preparation of export/Domestic shipment documentationFollow legislation and procedures relating to quality, customs and safetyPreparing and maintaining a delivery schedule and communicating to all stakeholders;Support local implementation of global/cluster logistics improvement processesSynchronize ETDs and ETAs over the supply chain to ensure the correct delivery date to customerLogistic planning of all the shipments in line with requirements and in coordination with all internal and external stakeholders.Managing multiple lines of communication between Order fulfilment, factory logistics teams, end customers, logistics service providers like Freight forwarders, customs brokers, truckers and other stakeholders.Ensuring the integrity of import/export documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices and packing lists and other statutory documents.Continual review of shipment schedules and reporting exceptions if any to relevant stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesEssential QualificationsBachelor' Degree in Engineering/Diploma in Electrical with minimum 5 years of relevant procurement and logistics experienceStrong in Microsoft officeSkills RequiredStrong knowledge of material procurement of solar photovoltaic systems and related technologies.Strong knowledge of handling end to end international shipping/freight forwarding/logistics.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
