Job ResponsibilitiesWe're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that process high volumes of data reliably and efficiently. This role involves developing and optimizing event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing pipelines. You'll be building and improving APIs that power our dashboard, integrations, and external developer SDKs. A critical responsibility will be implementing robust data storage patterns for multi-tenant SaaS, ensuring performance, security, and isolation. Collaboration with the ML/AI team to integrate AI capabilities into production systems efficiently is key. You'll design monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure high availability and rapid incident response. Contribution to security best practices including authentication, authorization, and secure credential management is expected. Participation in architecture decisions and establishing engineering standards as the team grows is necessary. Debugging and resolving production issues across distributed systems is a crucial task. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with significant work on production systems at scale. Strong proficiency in Python or similar backend languages. Experience with cloud platforms and serverless architectures. Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization. Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queues, and asynchronous processing patterns. Understanding of security fundamentals: authentication, encryption, secrets management. Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion in a fully remote environment.
