Backend Engineer Job DescriptionThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Backend Engineer. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to contribute to the development of our product, which utilizes Machine Learning & Big Data technologies to analyze content from multiple data sources.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software (backend and databases in particular). They will also manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, as well as perform DevOps tasks. Additionally, they will contribute to the growth of our team through interviewing, onboarding, or other recruitment efforts.Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.At least 5 years of experience in backend engineering.Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis, Postgres, or Cassandra.Proficiency in Python and Ruby on Rails.Knowledge of web servers and web application servers (e.g., Apache, Jetty, Tomcat, IIS).Experience with code repositories like Git.Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and tight timelines.Database design skills.Excellent organizational skills and proven analytical, planning, problem-solving skills.Benefits:We offer a dynamic and agile work environment where you can grow your skills and career.
