We provide acute care, elective surgery, maternal health services and community-focused clinical programmes in Lasalgaon, Maharashtra.Position: Consultant - Obstetrics & Gynaecology (On-site, Lasalgaon, Maharashtra)About the OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a growing multi-speciality hospital serving rural and semi-urban populations. The role is fully on-site and focused on delivering high-quality maternal and women's health services across OPD, labour ward, theatre and emergency settings.Role & ResponsibilitiesProvide expert outpatient and inpatient obstetrics & gynaecology care, including antenatal clinics, labour ward management and postnatal follow-up.Perform obstetric procedures and gynaecologic surgeries: vaginal deliveries, instrumental deliveries, caesarean sections, and elective/ emergency gynaecologic operations including basic laparoscopy.Lead management of high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies—stabilisation, escalation, and coordination with anaesthesia and neonatology teams.Interpret obstetric and gynaecologic ultrasounds; work closely with radiology for diagnostic imaging and cross-disciplinary case reviews.Maintain detailed medical records, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and follow clinical governance and NABH-compliant protocols.Mentor junior doctors and nursing staff, contribute to continuous improvement of clinical pathways and community outreach maternal-health programmes.Skills & QualificationsMust-HaveBoard-certified or equivalent specialist qualification in Obstetrics & GynaecologyProven competence in caesarean section and operative vaginal deliveryExperience managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergenciesProficiency in transvaginal and obstetric ultrasound interpretationHands-on experience with gynaecologic surgeries, including basic laparoscopic proceduresFamiliarity with clinical governance, patient safety protocols and NABH standardsPreferredTraining or certification in Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics (ALSO) or ACLSExperience working in multi-speciality hospital settings or community maternal-health programmesExposure to minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery and ultrasound-guided proceduresBenefits & Culture HighlightsOn-site role with access to well-equipped OT, labour suite and diagnostic imaging facilities.Collaborative multi-speciality team, opportunities for clinical leadership and skills development.Competitive compensation with performance-linked incentives and support for continuous medical education.If you are a patient-centred, outcome-driven Obstetrician & Gynaecologist looking to make a tangible impact in a busy multi-speciality hospital in Lasalgaon, Maharashtra, please apply with your CV and contact details.
