Position: Consultant - Obstetrics & Gynaecology (On-site, Lasalgaon, Maharashtra)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a growing multi-speciality hospital serving rural and semi-urban populations. The role is fully on-site and focused on delivering high-quality maternal and women's health services across OPD, labour ward, theatre and emergency settings.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Provide expert outpatient and inpatient obstetrics & gynaecology care, including antenatal clinics, labour ward management and postnatal follow-up.
  • Perform obstetric procedures and gynaecologic surgeries: vaginal deliveries, instrumental deliveries, caesarean sections, and elective/ emergency gynaecologic operations including basic laparoscopy.
  • Lead management of high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies—stabilisation, escalation, and coordination with anaesthesia and neonatology teams.
  • Interpret obstetric and gynaecologic ultrasounds; work closely with radiology for diagnostic imaging and cross-disciplinary case reviews.
  • Maintain detailed medical records, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and follow clinical governance and NABH-compliant protocols.
  • Mentor junior doctors and nursing staff, contribute to continuous improvement of clinical pathways and community outreach maternal-health programmes.
Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Board-certified or equivalent specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Proven competence in caesarean section and operative vaginal delivery
  • Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies
  • Proficiency in transvaginal and obstetric ultrasound interpretation
  • Hands-on experience with gynaecologic surgeries, including basic laparoscopic procedures
  • Familiarity with clinical governance, patient safety protocols and NABH standards

Preferred

  • Training or certification in Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics (ALSO) or ACLS
  • Experience working in multi-speciality hospital settings or community maternal-health programmes
  • Exposure to minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery and ultrasound-guided procedures
