Associate Art Cataloguer
Location: 1 Position in Mumbai & 2 Position in New Delhi

As a cataloguer, you will be responsible for cataloguing and conditioning products that are submitted for sale. We are looking for candidates with a degree/diploma and a background or interest in the arts. Prior full or part-time experience working in an art gallery, with a conservator, or museum is desirable, though not essential.  We are strictly seeking applicants residing in Mumbai and New Delhi for the respective positions.

Key Responsibilities

Cataloguing and researching products submitted for sales
Physical inspections and condition reports of the products submitted for sales
Work closely with auction specialists and sales teams
Follow checklists for products submitted for sales
Coordinating with departments and locations as required
Follow and update processes
Assist with client queries, attending phone calls, and attending to gallery visitors when required

Skills and Experience

A background in the arts is preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English)
Ability to organise and manage time
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Willing to adjust to long hours, if necessary, particularly during sale deadlines, exhibitions, and auctions
