Join us.Your ImpactAs a Sr. UX Designer, you would be part of a larger experienced design team at OpenText and report to the UX Manager. A typical day at work would see you interacting with Product Management, Product Development, UX Research, and senior UX leadership. This role requires self-motivation and ability to work independently and with team members and product groups.   What the role offersPartner across teams to gain a deep understanding of product domains and user needsCollaborate with Product Management to define requirements, shape product backlogs, and outline the vision for user experienceDesign intuitive, user-friendly solutions for complex, multi-platform product suitesConduct usability tests and other forms of UX validation with internal and external partnersBuild detailed, interactive prototypes for presentations and usability testingLeverage product thinking to drive innovation and contribute to business growthApply AI-informed design thinking where relevant, using AI tools to simplify workflows, accelerate ideation, and improve user decision-makingPromote a design thinking approach, be a UX advocate, and foster a dynamic design cultureMentor and guide junior designers, offering both interaction and visual design feedback to help them growEnsure design precision and consistency by maintaining clear workflows, cohesive layouts, and alignment with design systemsCraft visually engaging and brand-aligned interfaces, ensuring hierarchy, spacing, typography, and color usage support clarity and usabilityContribute to the evolution of design systems and interaction/visual guidelines across platformsWhat you need to succeedBachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience5+ years of experience designing interactions for large-scale products or servicesExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design rationale clearlySkilled in creating UX deliverables such as journey maps, task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design specificationsExperience developing user personas and usage scenariosProficient in design tools such as Figma and FigJamAbility to produce high-quality visual design elements (components, icons, illustrations) while adhering to brand and system guidelinesStrong organizational skills to balance multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlinesExperience collaborating with global, cross-functional teams in complex organizational structuresSkilled in facilitating workshops to generate ideas, drive alignment, and achieve consensusProven ability in feature prioritization and contributing to roadmap developmentBackground in conducting usability tests and interpreting resultsKnowledge of heuristic evaluations and accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG)Familiarity with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) products is a plusSignificant contributions to design systems, including both interaction and visual aspectsAwareness of how AI can simplify enterprise workflows and elevate user experiencesAn impressive portfolio with case studies that highlight your ability to solve complex interaction design challenges, demonstrate visual craft, and show how you've used emerging tools (including AI) to deliver impactful outcomes.One last thingOpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
