Title: Manager -Data Analytics (Fraud Monitoring)
As the Fraud Monitoring Manager, you will lead a team responsible for monitoring, detecting, and mitigating fraudulent activities across our platform. You will develop and refine fraud detection strategies, implement real-time monitoring solutions, and work closely with data analytics, risk management, and operations teams to protect our customers and business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individually contribute and simultaneously Lead, mentor, and manage a team of fraud analysts responsible for real-time monitoring and investigation of fraudulent activities.
- Develop and implement effective fraud detection models and strategies to identify suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with data science, analytics, and technology teams to design and enhance fraud detection algorithms.
- Monitor key fraud indicators, dashboards, and reports to assess risk and recommend preventive measures.
- Oversee the continuous development of fraud detection tools and processes, ensuring they remain current with evolving fraud tactics.
- Investigate escalated cases, analyze fraud trends, and make data-driven decisions to adjust rules and thresholds.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, legal, and customer service, to address fraud risks and support incident response.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in fraud prevention and monitoring.
- Lead root cause analysis for identified fraud incidents and drive corrective actions.
- Report regularly to senior management on fraud trends, incidents, and team performance.
Skills & Competencies :
- 5+ years of experience in fraud monitoring, detection, and investigation, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of fraud schemes, risk management on digital platforms.
- Proven experience with fraud detection systems, tools, and technologies (e.g., machine learning models, rule-based systems).
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree, Business, Data Analytics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
