We have openings for Technical Writer professionals at Bangalore location.Total Experience: 2+Years to 9yearsRole: Technical WriterWork Location: Bangalore (Manyata Tech park)Mode of Work: 5 Days Working from OfficeSalary: Case to case basisJob Description: Purpose of the JobThe Technical Writer is responsible for creating, managing, and continuously improving technical documentation for Black Box’s product portfolio, with a strong focus on KVM, AV, and IoT solutions that enable our Control Room & Command Canter strategy. This role works closely with Product Management, R&D, and cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with product lifecycles and customer needs. The writer will also leverage AI-driven tools and processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability of content development.Primary Roles & ResponsibilitiesProduce and maintain technical documentation, including Technical Data Sheets, Application Notes, Product Specification Sheets, Reference Manuals, Training Documentation, How-To Guides, and Technical Web Content for internal and external audiences.Collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects product features, functionality, and updates across the KVM, AV, and IoT product portfolio.Apply AI-based content development and editing tools to improve authoring, translation, content reuse, and version control.Translate complex technical ideas into clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences (administrators, system integrators, developers, non-technical users).Study internal processes, drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to create precise and usable procedures.Analyze existing and potential content to maintain continuity in voice, style, and technical accuracy across all documentation.Manage updates and revisions across channels (web, print, partner portals) and ensure accuracy across all systems.Support the development of control room strategy content, highlighting how Black Box solutions integrate and provide value.Anticipate documentation challenges and propose proactive solutions to ensure high-quality deliverables within project timelines.Skills, Knowledge, AbilitiesExceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.Strong technical aptitude and ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proficiency with AI-powered content creation/editing tools and openness to adopting emerging technologies in documentation.Effective collaboration skills with Product Management, Engineering, and R&D teams.Ability to quickly learn new technologies, product specifications, and business processes.Strong organizational and project management skills; capable of balancing multiple priorities.Ability to mentor and share best practices across the business.Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate documentation strategy to leadership and stakeholders.Education/Experience RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
