Interested
The incumbent should have work experience in market research, product development, training, and capacity-building. Experience working with government officials, think tanks, banks, and financial service providers in India would be preferred.
The Manager – Digital Inclusive Development will provide technical assistance to clients focused on improving services for rural markets. The Manager will need to plan, lead, and execute projects in partnership with other team members of MSC. They will also work on projects on digital inclusion, particularly digital financial services, livelihoods, and community-based interventions. The Manager will have specific responsibilities that include:
Lead a team of 3-4 members in the assignment such as primary research, market visits, etc.
Lead the process of data analysis and report writing
Execute assignments with the utmost diligence, attention to detail, and, focus on quality
Manage strategic partnerships with stakeholders, especially with those who work in the financial services sector, livelihoods, rural development. Experience of working with government officials is an advantage.
Develop and create business initiatives to enhance financial inclusion and the use of financial services and products, especially among women.
The candidate should be willing to travel and spend 50% of the time on on-site assignments.
Detailed responsibilities:
Business Execution
Conduct assignment set-up and de-briefing meetings of assignments where s/he is responsible
Builds rapport with various contact points at the client organization for successful execution of the assignments
Plan and execute assignments with utmost due diligence
Oversee and support the process of report writing and data analysis
Review training courses delivered, research papers prepared, curriculum developed, and technical assistance provided to clients
Contribute to the development of toolkits and other publications
Human Capital Development
Assist and support the development of other staff by providing guidance and advice where appropriate
Share knowledge with staff and create opportunities for mentoring
Take ownership of self-development by acquiring skills and knowledge which add value to the organization
Requirements
Qualification and competencies:
Ability to lead assignments and teams and work with minimal supervision
Ability to develop client relationships
A strong field orientation and proven interpersonal skills.
