Who are we looking for:


Key: PSPE in IB stands for Personal, Social and Physical Education and ATL is Approaches to Learning.


We are currently seeking a passionate Physical Education (PE) teacher to join our team as a dedicated Subject Matter Expert for PE, working with children aged 3 to 10, as part of our continued growth and development efforts. The ideal candidate must be organized, and capable of fostering innovative and engaging learning experiences within available resources. Creating a holistic, inquiry-based environment, the candidate will instil thoughtful and ethical behaviour, ensuring the IB Learner profile values guide the heart of learning in our school.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement PSPE lessons that seamlessly integrate the IB PYP Framework, incorporating key concepts, learner profile attributes, and ATLS.
  • Design and deliver PSPE lessons that encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes the well-being of all students, respecting diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet the individual needs of students and provide a supportive environment for their physical and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with IB Coordinators and colleagues to contribute to the development of Units of Inquiry that connect PSPE with other subject areas.
  • Actively participate in planning and implementing cross-curricular units of inquiry.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of student learning, emphasizing formative and summative assessments aligned with IB and the school’s assessment requirements.
  • Use a variety of assessment tools to measure student progress, ensuring that documentation reflects the development of physical skills, conceptual understanding and the display of the Learner Profile attributes.
  • Engage with the school community by organizing health and wellness events, workshops and activities.
  • Collaborate with parents to enhance students’ physical and emotional well-being beyond the classroom.
  • Actively engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to a collaborative learning community.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Teaching certification/license in Physical and Health Education or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


Additional Information: 

  • Job location is in Chetpet, Chennai. This is an on-site job.
  • School timings are from 7.30 am to 3.00 pm. 
  • A laptop will be provided for school use only.
