JOB DESCRIPTION Job Role: Engineer Maintenance- CTU Job Role ID: SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLE Job Role Variant: Engineer Maintenance - Electrical Manager Job Position: Senior Engineer Workshop Electrical Job Position ID: Value Stream: Asset Operations Job Family: Manufacturing Sub-Job Family: Maintenance Grade/Level: J Location: SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To perform workshop services and job planning related to electrical equipment maintenance activities at site in order to ensure seamless and smooth operations while adhering to statutory compliance and organisational policies. Responsible for LT/ HT motors overhauling / rewinding / repairing during normal and shutdown/ breakdown period along with testing of new/ old motors as per projects/ capex/ plant requirements SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Responsibilities Policies, Processes and ProceduresConduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent mannerKeep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and proceduresDevelop test procedures and formats; Standardize and implement best practices and group guidelines for electrical equipment improvementWorkshop Maintenance PlanningAssist in preparation of workshop electrical maintenance cost and budgeting and provide inputs for optimization of resources and planningCreate maintenance schedules at a daily, weekly and monthly basis for electrical activities in coordination with planning and plant maintenance teamsEnsure maintenance KPIs of workshop electrical are met on a weekly basis as per planWorkshop Maintenance OperationsPerform critical electrical maintenance activities while ensuring adherence to highest quality standardsCoordinate with other functions and follow up for external repairs; Oversee maintenance of electrical equipment at site common areasPerform planned turnaround and shutdown services performed on electrical equipment and systems to ensure they are maintained, tested and calibrated timelyAssist in inventory management of spare parts related to electrical equipment, including identification of spare parts, tracking inventory levels, inspection of received materials, and ensure availability and standardization of critical sparesSupport in troubleshooting critical problems, as well as perform repair and refurbishment of electrical equipment/ componentsPreservation of all complex level spare LT motors (Planning and Execution)Manage all planned and reactive maintenance of non-plant areas attached to the CES workshop (Planning and Execution)Compliance & DocumentationPrepare documentation related to compliance audit and support in ensuring adherence to statutory, CSM and HSE compliance, including RESOP, DOSHE, CASHe, HSEF mandatory trainings, etc.Prepare repair and test records, MIS, and reporting documents related to electrical equipment maintenance and update the same in IMS in a timely mannerOther CTU ActivitiesDeployment of maintenance practices for all Extra high voltage system (220kV and above)Responsible for Safe & Reliable operation for 400kV GIS, 220kV GIS and monitoring of 220kV EHV Cable connectivityCo-ordinations with Power generating plants & Grid authority. To ensure 400/220/33kV Power Distribution system operation within Operating window. SECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICSTime to resolutionOEE (Overall equipment effectiveness)Reduction in unplanned shutdownShutdown turn around time/ Mean time between failuresReduction in # of safety incidentsSECTION V: OPERATING NETWORKInternal:Human Resource, Administration, Workshop, Planning, Security, etc.External:Vendor, Equipment Manufacturers, etc.SECTION VI: KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIESEducation Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) or a Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology (Electrical stream) (Preferred)Experience Up to 1-3 years of experience for degree in industrial / Electrical workshop maintenance (field/industry/domain) - Two years hands on experience is preferredFunctional / Behavioral competencies required to execute the roleFUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIESSECTION VII: CAREER MOVEMENTSFeeder Roles:Confirmed GET, OFFICERPossible Next Role Movement:Lead Plant Maintenance
