Operations Management: Oversee daily production activities to meet volume, quality, and cost targets. Develop and implement production schedules and resource plans. Drive the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve processes.2. Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE/HSE): Establish a strong safety culture and ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.3. Financial & Budget Management: Develop, manage, and control the annual plant budget, optimizing resource allocation. Monitor and analyze plant performance metrics (KPIs) for productivity, cost, quality, and inventory. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.4. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a large, diverse team of supervisors, engineers, and plant personnel. Oversee personnel management functions, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations. Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment.5. Quality and Compliance: Ensure all products meet stringent quality control standards and customer specifications. Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO certifications) and local/national regulations.6. Maintenance and Reliability: Direct the maintenance department to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for machinery and facility infrastructure.7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with corporate functions (Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, HR) to align plant operations with overall business strategy. Proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.
