Procurement SpecialistThis role plays a pivotal part in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect supplies for the Flavours & Fragrances Division.Acquires aroma chemicals, essential oils, isolates, solvents, and other raw materials through efficient sourcing strategies.Engages in price negotiations, generates purchase orders, and ensures material availability to meet business objectives.Maintains up-to-date price trackers for key commodities and vendor database records.Key Responsibilities:Raw Material ProcurementCreates and manages Requests for Quotations (RFQs), compares quotations, and negotiates prices to secure optimal deals.Ensures continuous material availability by maintaining reorder levels and coordinating inventory replenishment.Vendor Management and DevelopmentIdentifies and onboards new suppliers to enhance the supplier base and drive innovation.Manages vendor performance records and coordinates sample testing with Quality Control (QC) and Research and Development (R&D) teams.Documentation and Regulatory ComplianceCollects and submits procurement-related documents in a timely manner to support QC and Regulatory teams.Logistics and Inventory CoordinationCoordinates dispatches, transporters, freight rates, and delivery follow-ups to ensure smooth logistics operations.Monitors shipments and communicates delays to Production and Warehouse teams.Cross-Functional CollaborationWorks closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Control, R&D, Warehouse, and Finance to drive business success.Supports raw material trials and alternate sourcing initiatives.Required Skills and Qualifications:Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Knowledge of procurement cycles and commercial terms.Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Excel.Basic understanding of aroma ingredients and their applications.
