Microsoft Fabric AdministratorThis position is responsible for leading the administration, governance, and operational management of the Client’s Microsoft Fabric environment.The Senior Fabric Administrator ensures enterprise-level stability, scalability, and compliance across Fabric capacities, workspaces, and connected services. This role collaborates with data architects, data engineering teams, analytics engineering teams, BI architects, and governance teams to maintain a governed self-service analytics ecosystem and deliver operational excellence through proactive monitoring, auditing, and performance optimization.Additionally, this position manages user community support, oversees audit and monitoring frameworks, and maintains critical infrastructure components such as the on-premises data gateway.The Senior Fabric Administrator is also focused on driving continuous improvement in the adoption and utilization of Power BI. By combining expertise in platform administration with hands-on technical knowledge of Power BI, this role serves as both a systems owner and a technical mentor.Furthermore, the administrator supports enablement efforts by developing internal knowledge articles and promoting best practices throughout the analytics community.12 years of relevant experience in analytics or platform administration are required, accompanied by a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.More than 7 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Power BI Service or Fabric in enterprise-scale deployments are necessary.Strong technical expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic model design are essential.In-depth understanding of Fabric architecture, capacity management, and Lakehouse integration are required.Experience managing Fabric audit logs, monitoring activity, and using Power BI Admin APIs for operational and compliance reporting are valuable.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, REST APIs, and automating administrative tasks in both Fabric and Power BI Service are beneficial.Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Power BI Admin APIs for audit and capacity monitoring are advantageous.Proven ability to configure and maintain the on-premises data gateway, including updates, troubleshooting, and performance optimization are crucial.Proficiency with Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control (RBAC), and workspace access control across Fabric and Power BI are necessary.Experience managing license utilization, capacity consumption, and SLA-driven support operations are required.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and Git integration for Power BI and Fabric artifacts are beneficial.Strong understanding of data governance, sensitivity labeling, and compliance within Microsoft environments are essential.Ability to create and maintain enablement documentation, internal community articles, and user training materials are valuable.Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior administrators, coordinating platform improvements, and promoting user enablement are crucial.Microsoft Certified Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) or Microsoft Certified Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) certification is required.
