Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Job Purpose
DBIL has acquired PCM license from NSE and is going to launch clearing operations for exchange traded derivatives in Commodities derivatives segment. Our client list will include institutions (FPIs, Mutual Funds, AIFs). Institutions who trade in exchange traded derivatives place their monies as commodities derivatives margin with Clearing Member (DBIL). These institutions execute their commodity derivative trades through multiple brokers. It is the responsibility of DBIL to ensure that the overall risk management of the clients’ commodity derivative position is correctly managed and to ensure that daily settlement of the clients’ commodity derivative positions happens smoothly with the exchange. We need an individual who can setup systems and processes for clearing of exchange traded commodities derivatives
Key Accountabilities
Candidate should have thorough understanding of risk management of Clearing Business for Commodity derivatives Understanding Span methodology and margin computation for commodity derivative positions Should be able to understand and monitor position limits for commodity as prescribed by the regulators Should be able to understand extant regulations and should be to perform daily regulatory reporting for commodity derivativesJob Duties & Responsibilities
Daily settlement of monies and commodity physical settlement Designing and sending daily reports to clients Should understand the accounting setup within the back office system Should be able to design and test entire clearing system of commodity derivatives Should be able to setup processes for clearing and settlement of commodity derivatives Will be responsible for writing process notes, SOP’s for commodity derivativesRequired Experience
Should have experience of minimum 5 years within the Commodity Derivatives Clearing businessEducation / Preferred Qualifications
Post Graduate/GraduateCore Competencies
Should have domain expertise of commodity derivatives margin computation and position limit monitoring Has grasp on the regulatory framework for exchange traded commodity derivatives and should be able to liaise with regulators Should have good communication skills so as to mange internal as well as external stakeholdersTechnical Competencies
Should have experience in confirmation and settlement of commodity derivative trades and should be able to understand the entire trade cycle Should have basic accounting knowledgeWork Relationship
