Job Title: Conversational AI Engineer - Voice Agent SpecialistAbout the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Conversational AI Engineer to lead the development of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based systems for a top healthcare provider. As a key member of our team, you will design and deploy cutting-edge voice agents that enhance patient access and transform the primary care experience.This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your expertise in prompt engineering, dialogue system design, and MLOps. You'll work closely with our frontend and backend teams to integrate AI and voice agent components into our microservices architecture.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop LLM- and RAG-based systems to power chatbot and voice agent interactions.Craft prompts and design voice-agent dialogue flows to maximise response relevance and clinical safety.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI and voice agent components.Instrument AI and voice-agent pipelines, analyse logs, and implement continuous-learning improvements.Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in LLMs, RAG, conversational AI frameworks, and NHS-specific compliance.RequirementsProven expertise in prompt engineering, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and voice-agent/dialogue-system design.Advanced proficiency in Python, with experience building APIs and integrating with frontend technologies.Strong understanding of Azure services, containerisation, and relational databases.Experience designing microservices, distributed architectures, and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.A passion for healthcare technology and improving NHS primary care workflows.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex AI concepts.A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a drive to mentor peers and contribute to a continuous-learning culture.What We OfferWe provide a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters innovation, collaboration, and growth.
