About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Exadata Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain our Exadata infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:System Deployment and Maintenance: Lead the deployment of new Exadata systems, including farm design and capacity planning.Preparation and Management of Installation Artifacts: Prepare and manage installation artifacts such as CPFs (Change Tickets) and OEDA configurations.Finalization of System Hostnames and IP Addresses: Finalize system hostnames and IP addresses following network allocation.Update of DNS Entries: Update DNS entries for all Exadata components and spine/leaf switches.Communication with External Parties: Open Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and upload OEDA/OECA documentation.Data Collection and Uploading: Run CheckIP scripts and upload results to Oracle SRs.Creation of Installation Requests: Create CRs/CPFs for site teams to install spine switches.Configuration Coordination: Coordinate with Oracle to configure spine switches.Submission of Multiracking Activities: Submit RITMs for multiracking activities.Creation of Installation Requests for Oracle Components: Create CRs for Oracle to perform EIS/1ENG (one per day).Installation of Management Switches: Create RITMs for site teams to install Oracle/Cisco management switches.Database Environment Configuration: Execute OneCommand to build the Exadata database environment.Automation of Exadata Component Configuration: Run Ansible automation to configure Exadata components.Onboarding of Components into ASR and CMS: Onboard components into ASR (Auto Service Request), CMS, OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager).Exacheck and Health Checks: Run Exacheck and upload output to Oracle SRs. Perform LTS (Long-Term Support) checks. Ensure all required documentation and health checks are completed prior to handoff.Issue Resolution and Follow-up: Create and manage SRs, CRs, and RITMs for issues or break/fix activities. Collect diagnostic data for Oracle SRs across hardware, OS, and database layers. Conduct continuous follow-up on active SRs to ensure timely resolution. Coordinate maintenance windows and downtime with Oracle and DBA teams. Add newly built Exadata systems to OEM monitoring.
