Job Opportunity: Advanced Search ExpertWe are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the development of cutting-edge search solutions using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.Design and implement bespoke search architectures, incorporating custom analyzers, tokenizers, and scoring algorithms.Manage index templates and ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across large-scale datasets.Create query pipelines tailored to complex business requirements, leveraging LLMs and AI for enhanced search relevance.Develop robust APIs for search using Python (FastAPI), ensuring high-performance and scalability.Lead testing efforts, including integration, regression, and performance testing to guarantee reliability and accuracy of search features.Automate deployment and management of search infrastructure, including index templates and search pipelines, to streamline operations.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch in production environments.Expertise in AI/LLM-based search experiences, such as Rag, learning to rank, and query understanding.Proficient in Python programming, with experience building APIs (preferably FastAPI).In-depth knowledge of search concepts, including analyzers, tokenizers, relevance tuning, custom scoring, and query DSL.Familiarity with index template management, lifecycle policies, and large-scale data modeling.Experience in designing and optimizing search pipelines and custom query builders.Practical hands-on experience developing software using AI-assisted tools and workflows, such as Cursor, Co-pilot, and Windsurf.Strong background in testing, including integration, regression, and performance testing.DevOps skills, including automation, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience with S3, AWS Lambda, and cloud-native architectures.
