Please note while applying:
You must have handled Land Acquisition for renewable projects for more than 2 years in the recent past. Multi-state acquisition experience is preferred. Acquisition of both and Government and Private land is desired.

Role Summary:
The Land Acquisition person will be integral to the successful development of Company’s renewable projects. This role involves identifying, negotiating, and acquiring land necessary for project development while collaborating with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential land parcels for solar and wind projects, conducting feasibility studies and assessments.
Lead negotiations with aggregators, landowners, stakeholders, and government entities to secure land leases, easements, and purchases.
Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners, local communities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth acquisition processes.
Ensure compliance with local and state regulations related to land acquisition, zoning, and environmental impact.
Conduct thorough due diligence on land parcels, including title searches, environmental assessments, and land-use regulations.
Collaborate with project development, legal, and environmental teams to align land acquisition efforts with project timelines and requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation related to land acquisition processes and provide regular updates to the top management.

Skills and Qualifications required:
10-30 years of experience in land acquisition, specifically within wind and solar projects.
Land Acquisition Expertise for Renewable Projects - Proven expertise in identifying, assessing, and securing land for renewable energy projects, particularly in solar and wind. This includes multi-state land acquisition experience.
Negotiation and Relationship Management - Strong negotiation skills to work effectively with landowners, aggregators, stakeholders, and government agencies. Ability to build positive relationships with diverse external parties as well as internal stakeholders.
Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge - In-depth knowledge of local and state regulations, zoning laws, and environmental impact requirements related to land acquisition. This includes conducting due diligence and ensuring all legal aspects and regulations are met for successful land acquisition.
Project and Cross-functional Collaboration - Ability to collaborate across various internal teams, such as project development, legal, and environmental teams, aligning land acquisition with project timelines and needs.
