This role offers you the chance to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge financial projects, working with simulations and real-world data.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform fixed income analysis and valuation tasks, calculating yield to maturity (YTM) and assessing returns on different types of securities.Develop debt investment strategies by comparing various options, including direct corporate bonds, non-convertible debentures (NCDs), and debt mutual funds.Manage risk and portfolio exposure, ensuring optimal financial performance.Assess interest rate risks in structured finance instruments, considering prepayment risk.Quantify bond price sensitivity to market changes using advanced analytical techniques.Estimate portfolio risk using machine learning models and develop value at risk (VaR) strategies.Evaluate AI-driven risk profiling tools for investors and assess their effectiveness.Credit Research & Risk Analysis: Clean and analyze economic data to assess sovereign risk profiles.Build predictive models to forecast corporate bond defaults.Construct and analyze yield curves from market data, incorporating zero-coupon yields.Understand and apply AI tools in Microsoft Excel to enhance financial modeling capabilities.Examine credit spreads between investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds.Assess risks and returns associated with asset-backed securities (ABS).Determine optimal bond issuance strategies for solar power projects using project finance modeling.What You Will Gain:Practical experience in debt investment banking with exposure to multiple functional areas.Enhanced analytical and financial modeling skills through simulations.Improved presentation and communication skills.Knowledge of AI applications in finance.Requirements:Student or recent graduate from any academic discipline.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Internship Details:Duration: Flexible, either 1 month or 2 months within a 4-month period.Unpaid internship.
