Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on major projects, building and guiding a high-performing team of 10-15 frontend engineers.
  • Define the frontend technology roadmap, aligning it with Cleartrip's vision, business goals, and product strategy.
  • Foster a culture of code quality and performance optimization, ensuring your team's work delivers exceptional user experiences.
  • Champion the professional growth of your team by mentoring and providing clear career paths.
  • Implement a culture of continuous feedback, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
  • Navigate the fast-paced travel tech landscape, operating with agility and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Engineering Leaders, Product Management, Business Development, Operations) to deliver scalable, high-quality frontend solutions at speed.
  • Establish best practices for frontend development and ensure their consistent implementation.
  • Design and architect technically robust, flexible, and scalable frontend solutions.
  • Partner with designers, business analysts, and product managers to estimate, plan, and execute projects within an Agile development framework.
  • Drive exceptional performance within your team and collaborate effectively on unclear interfaces amidst a rapidly evolving travel industry.


Requirements

  • BE/B.Tech (or an equivalent degree) in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven leadership skills with a minimum of 7 years of experience managing and mentoring frontend engineering teams.
  • In-depth understanding of modern frontend technologies and architectures for building highly scalable and performant web applications.
  • Solid experience with a comprehensive frontend technology stack, including (but not limited to):
  • ReactJS (Next.js) with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with React Native or other hybrid mobile app frameworks
  • Experience with building Single Page Applications (SPAs) and PWAs (Progressive Web Apps), server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap
  • Familiarity with TypeScript for strong type safety
  • Experience with state management libraries like Redux or MobX
  • Experience with UI component libraries like Material-UI or Ant Design
  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress
  • Experience with build tools like Webpack or Parcel
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
