Job TitleA Privacy and Legal Compliance Specialist is required to oversee legal compliance, internal audits, and operational privacy management across multiple campuses.Develop and implement campus-wide privacy compliance strategies in accordance with Indian data protection laws and relevant international regulations.Conduct regular privacy and data protection audits across all campuses; identify risks, recommend, and track remediation measures.Coordinate with operational teams to ensure robust processes for the compliant handling of personal data, and provide legal and strategic advice on privacy issues.Draft, review, and update privacy policies, procedures, and notices tailored for educational settings.Review and negotiate contracts (which includes drafting and negotiating data processing agreements).Conduct privacy impact assessments.Organize and deliver ongoing privacy awareness and training for employees and faculty members.Respond to data subject requests and complaints concerning data privacy.Monitor regulatory updates and sector trends to ensure the prompt adoption of necessary operational changes.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess:Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role, with exposure to audit and privacy operations.Familiarity with Indian data privacy laws and global regulatory frameworks.A law degree from a recognized university.CIPP/CIPM certification preferred.The following skills are also essential:Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
