Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive sustainability performance improvement and identify innovative solutions.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site and supplier sustainability audit programs, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and leading initiatives that embed sustainability into our operations, culture, and decision-making.This is a challenging role that requires adaptability, agility, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Key Responsibilities:Manage Visy's sustainability and supply chain programs, including site audits, evidence collection, and data analysis.Develop and evolve our sustainability narrative and customer-facing messaging, responding to customer questionnaires and surveys.Capture and report sustainability-related data, including management reports, NGERS, CDP, waste audits, and other relevant metrics.Identify and manage sustainability-related risks across Visy's operations and supply chain.Develop sustainability policies, procedures, handbooks, and guidelines.Contribute to regulatory reporting disclosures and assurance requirements.Drive a culture of sustainability through training and resource development.Present sustainability performance, projects, and initiatives to customers.Support certification and reporting processes.Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, science, engineering, environment, or sustainability.Minimum 3 years' experience in environmental or sustainability roles.Experience with sustainability questionnaires, surveys, and site audits.Technical knowledge of key sustainability topics, such as climate, carbon emissions, water, packaging, recycling, waste, procurement, human rights, and modern slavery.Data analysis and interpretation skills.Communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.Robust problem-solving skills and data-driven approach.Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and system software.BenefitsThis role offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a chance to make a real impact on sustainability.OthersThe successful candidate will have a valid passport and be willing to travel as required.
