Role Overview:

We are seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to design, develop, and optimize the telemetry and communication systems for our UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). The ideal candidate will bring experience in RF system design and testing, focusing on UAV communication protocols and data transmission systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design RF communication systems for UAV telemetry, control, and data link applications.
  • Conduct RF testing, tuning, and performance optimization for reliable UAV communications in various conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF components into UAV platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to RF communication regulations and standards (WPC, TRAI, and other applicable bodies).
  • Perform spectrum management and signal interference analysis to optimize communication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RF issues during UAV flight tests.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in RF communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in RF engineering, ideally in UAVs, aerospace, or defense sectors.
  • Strong understanding of RF system design, including antennas, signal propagation, and modulation techniques.
  • Experience with RF testing tools and equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
  • Familiarity with communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of simulation and modeling tools (HFSS, CST, or MATLAB).
  • Understanding of regulatory standards for RF communication and spectrum management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in UAV systems and the integration of communication systems in airborne platforms.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware development for communication systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to document and report system designs and test results.
