Job Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Cyber Intel Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis, programming skills, and cloud technologies. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering business requirements, developing project roadmaps, designing architecture blueprints, and managing data pipelines. You will also play a key role in enhancing existing projects and providing solutions for upcoming initiatives.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in the cybersecurity industry, particularly in the areas of detection engineering, red/blue teaming, cyber threat groups, existing attack methods, and their resulting log patterns
- 6+ years of experience with query syntax and usage, particularly those applying to log files (Splunk, YARA-L, OPAL, SQL, etc) - simple and complex joins and aggregations
- Research and data analysis experience
- Develop, debug, and deploy detections
- Continually find ways to streamline processes and re-use of code
- Produce detection and process documentation
- Good understanding of computer networking and modern computer architecture/operating systems
- Familiarity with network and security control products (firewalls, auth systems, MFA, cloud) and vendor and industry-standard event logging formats (Syslog, CEF, etc)
- Excellent hands-on experience in incident analysis using SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, and IBM QRadar.
- Hands-on experience in Endpoint Protection (EPP) or Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) technologies. Preferred if Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike.
- Working knowledge MITRE ATT&CK, Lockheed Martins Cyber Kill Chain frameworks
- Knowledge of any shell scripting language (preferred Python), and to apply them to automate mundane operations tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Provide mentoring and collaboration with other team members
