What’s the opportunity?
As a Corporate Secretarial Intern, you will support the Corporate Secretary team by assisting in managing and maintaining corporate governance and compliance matters. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate secretarial practices, compliance, and regulatory requirements within a dynamic organization.
What you'll do:
Document Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining corporate records, including meeting minutes, board resolutions, and regulatory filings.
Meeting Preparation: Support the preparation of agendas, presentations, and documentation for board and committee meetings.
Compliance Support: Help ensure the company adheres to legal and regulatory requirements by assisting in compliance tracking and reporting.
Filings and Reports: Prepare and submit statutory filings as required by local or national regulations, such as annual returns, financial statements, and other regulatory documents.
Policy Review: Participate in the review and updating of corporate governance policies and procedures.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research on regulatory updates, best practices in corporate governance, and other industry trends relevant to the corporate secretarial function.
Liaison Support: Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to collect and verify information for corporate secretarial tasks.
Other Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, recordkeeping, and data entry, as needed.
What are we looking for?
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Law, Corporate Secretarial, Corporate Governance, or a related field.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Detail-oriented with an ability to handle sensitive information.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with corporate governance software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of corporate governance principles.
Prior internship or coursework in corporate law, compliance, or secretarial practices.
