Senior Credit Underwriter

As a senior underwriter, you play a critical role in determining the credit worthiness of customers by evaluating loan documents, credit reports, and collateral.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate complete loan documents to provide approval or denial decisionsReview credit reports to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records, and credit reconciliationCarefully calculate income from various sources, including salaried income, business income, retired other income, and rental incomeConduct thorough reviews of collateral and property valuationVerify assets, including bank account statements, retirement accounts, mutual funds, and other investmentsPerform credit analysis based on the 4C's of underwriting (income, asset, liability, and collateral) to determine credit worthinessValidate and process loan documents on behalf of mortgage lendersEvaluate evidence of borrower's willingness and ability to repay obligationsRequired Skills and Qualifications: Good analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, and strong knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, and investor guidelines are essential for this role.Benefits: As a valued member of our team, you will have opportunities for professional growth and development, along with a competitive compensation package.Additional Information: This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
