Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will serve as a technical leader and mentor within our QA department, responsible for architecting and implementing comprehensive testing strategies across our product portfolio. This role combines technical expertise, leadership abilities, and strategic thinking to ensure the highest quality standards in our deliverables.Detailed Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Development:The senior QA engineer will take ownership of team development through various initiatives:Establish and maintain a comprehensive QA mentorship program for junior team membersConduct regular technical training sessions on testing tools, methodologies, and best practicesLead code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure maintainability and efficiencyGuide team members in developing their career paths within QAFacilitate weekly knowledge-sharing sessions to discuss testing challenges and solutionsTechnical Strategy and Implementation:In this role, you will be responsible for:Designing and implementing enterprise-level test automation frameworks that integrate with our CI/CD pipelineCreating and maintaining detailed testing standards documentationDeveloping performance testing strategies using JMeter, including the creation of complex test scenariosImplementing API testing frameworks using Postman, including automated regression suitesBuilding end-to-end testing solutions using Playwright, incorporating visual testing and cross-browser validationEstablishing metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and efficiencyQuality Process Management:The position involves comprehensive quality management:Developing and maintaining the organization's test strategy documentationCreating detailed test plans that align with business objectives and risk assessmentsImplementing defect management processes and establishing severity/priority guidelinesSetting up and maintaining testing environments, including containerized solutionsCreating and maintaining test data management strategiesEstablishing release certification criteria and quality gatesCross-functional Collaboration:You will work closely with various stakeholders:Participating in architectural discussions to ensure testability of solutionsCollaborating with product management to define acceptance criteriaWorking with development teams to implement testing within sprint cyclesEngaging with operations teams to ensure proper test environment managementPresenting quality metrics and insights to executive managementTechnical Requirements:Testing Expertise:Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies including TDD, BDD, and ATDDDeep understanding of performance testing concepts including load, stress, and endurance testingExpertise in API testing methodologies and REST/SOAP web servicesStrong background in database testing and SQLExperience with mobile application testing across different platformsTool Proficiency:Expert-level knowledge of Postman for API testing and automationAdvanced proficiency with JMeter for performance testingDeep expertise in Playwright for end-to-end testingExperience with version control systems (Git)Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Programming Skills:Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)Experience with test automation frameworks and design patternsUnderstanding of Object-Oriented Programming principlesKnowledge of scripting languages for test automationFamiliarity with HTML, CSS, and web technologiesDomain Knowledge:Comprehensive understanding of gaming industry testing requirementsExperience with back-office application testingKnowledge of security testing principlesUnderstanding of accessibility testing requirementsFamiliarity with regulatory compliance testingEducational Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field requiredMaster's degree preferredProfessional certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level or similarMinimum of 5 years of overall QA experienceAt least 3 years of hands-on test automation experienceMinimum 2 years of team leadership experienceSoft Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication abilitiesStrong presentation and documentation skillsProven leadership and mentoring capabilitiesAnalytical and strategic thinking abilitiesProblem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesAdditional Requirements:Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsKnowledge of quality metrics and reportingUnderstanding of risk-based testing approachesExperience with test estimation and planningWhat We Offer:Competitive salary packagePerformance-based bonusesComprehensive health benefitsProfessional development opportunitiesCareer advancement possibilitiesState-of-the-art testing tools and resourcesCollaborative and innovative work environment
