Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will serve as a technical leader and mentor within our QA department, responsible for architecting and implementing comprehensive testing strategies across our product portfolio. This role combines technical expertise, leadership abilities, and strategic thinking to ensure the highest quality standards in our deliverables.Detailed Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Development:The senior QA engineer will take ownership of team development through various initiatives:- Establish and maintain a comprehensive QA mentorship program for junior team members- Conduct regular technical training sessions on testing tools, methodologies, and best practices- Lead code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure maintainability and efficiency- Guide team members in developing their career paths within QA- Facilitate weekly knowledge-sharing sessions to discuss testing challenges and solutions Technical Strategy and Implementation:In this role, you will be responsible for:- Designing and implementing enterprise-level test automation frameworks that integrate with our CI/CD pipeline- Creating and maintaining detailed testing standards documentation- Developing performance testing strategies using JMeter, including the creation of complex test scenarios- Implementing API testing frameworks using Postman, including automated regression suites- Building end-to-end testing solutions using Playwright, incorporating visual testing and cross-browser validation- Establishing metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and efficiency Quality Process Management:The position involves comprehensive quality management:- Developing and maintaining the organization's test strategy documentation- Creating detailed test plans that align with business objectives and risk assessments- Implementing defect management processes and establishing severity/priority guidelines- Setting up and maintaining testing environments, including containerized solutions- Creating and maintaining test data management strategies- Establishing release certification criteria and quality gates Cross-functional Collaboration:You will work closely with various stakeholders:- Participating in architectural discussions to ensure testability of solutions- Collaborating with product management to define acceptance criteria- Working with development teams to implement testing within sprint cycles- Engaging with operations teams to ensure proper test environment management- Presenting quality metrics and insights to executive management Technical Requirements:Testing Expertise:- Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies including TDD, BDD, and ATDD- Deep understanding of performance testing concepts including load, stress, and endurance testing- Expertise in API testing methodologies and REST/SOAP web services- Strong background in database testing and SQL- Experience with mobile application testing across different platforms Tool Proficiency:- Expert-level knowledge of Postman for API testing and automation- Advanced proficiency with JMeter for performance testing- Deep expertise in Playwright for end-to-end testing- Experience with version control systems (Git)- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Programming Skills:- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)- Experience with test automation frameworks and design patterns- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles- Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web technologies Domain Knowledge:- Comprehensive understanding of gaming industry testing requirements- Experience with back-office application testing- Knowledge of security testing principles- Understanding of accessibility testing requirements- Familiarity with regulatory compliance testing Educational Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field required- Master's degree preferred- Professional certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level or similar- Minimum of 5 years of overall QA experience- At least 3 years of hands-on test automation experience- Minimum 2 years of team leadership experience Soft Skills:- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities- Strong presentation and documentation skills- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities- Problem-solving and decision-making skills- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Additional Requirements:- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments- Knowledge of quality metrics and reporting- Understanding of risk-based testing approaches- Experience with test estimation and planning What We Offer:- Competitive salary package- Performance-based bonuses- Comprehensive health benefits- Professional development opportunities- Career advancement possibilities- State-of-the-art testing tools and resources- Collaborative and innovative work environment
