Location: Remote (India)Compensation: ₹25,000 - 30,000 INR per monthShift: Early Morning / Day ShiftAbout the RoleWe are seeking a dependable and highly professional Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) with experience in front desk operations and after-hours medical office calling for a US-based medical practice. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and compassion in patient interactions. A medical background is preferred.You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between patients and clinic providers by managing calls, documenting accurately, and following established triage protocols.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle incoming patient calls with professionalism, empathy, and a patient-first approach.Assess caller needs and provide appropriate responses based on clinic guidelines and protocols.Escalate urgent issues to the on-call provider and ensure timely follow-up when required.Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling based on clinic preferences.Document all patient interactions clearly and accurately within the EHR system.Review and update patient charts as needed to support care coordination.Assist with medication refill requests, message forwarding, and administrative tasks.Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.Communicate effectively with providers and clinic staff to ensure seamless operations.Identify recurring issues and communicate trends to leadership for process improvement.Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making in navigating patient concerns after hours.Requirements2–3 years of experience as a front desk medical assistant, virtual medical assistant, or in after-hours medical office calling (US-Based Medical Practice)Medical background preferredExcellent spoken and written English communicationStrong proficiency in EHR navigation and documentationAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage high call volumesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to follow protocols accuratelyReliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote workspaceHigh level of professionalism, punctuality, and accountabilityWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationFully remote work environmentSupportive and collaborative teamOpportunities for growthIf you have the experience and passion for providing exceptional patient support, we would love to hear from you.
