Job Title: Financial Operations SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting financial operations, managing reconciliations, and handling complex accounting and tax matters.About the Role:You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, and handle reconciliation of bank, credit card, and payment accounts.Additionally, you will identify and suggest improvements to financial workflows and automation logic, assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and support Canadian tax compliance.This role also involves assisting with U.S. tax-related tasks as we expand into the U.S., maintaining accurate classification of transactions and general ledger records, and ensuring seamless integration with our automated systems.Responsibilities Include:Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooksOversee accounts receivable and accounts payableHandle reconciliation of bank, credit card, and payment accountsManage edge cases and exceptions not covered by our automated systemsAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport Canadian tax complianceAssist with U.S. tax-related tasksMaintain accurate classification of transactions and general ledger recordsIdentify and suggest improvements to financial workflows and automation logicKey Qualifications:Required Skills:Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with financial softwareStrong understanding of accounting principles and practicesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with U.S. and Canadian tax regulations
