Nobody checks every box - we're looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.Responsibilities:Build & leverage Executive-level relationships between Global System Integrators & Kong to create and close businessProactively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop a sales pipeline to and through our GSI PartnersDriving the PG efforts focusing GCC and GSI delivery centers to source & influence more opportunitiesDrive large and strategic deals in partnership with the Kong field sales, partners, and GSIsInterlock with the GSI & PSD Teams based out of Americas,EMEA & APJOwn Quota for generating new business and uncovering new workloads/logos via GSIsGenerate strategic joint pipeline with GSIs and support direct sales force on defined end-user sales pursuitsRequirements10 + years experience in a quota carrying direct strategic sales or partner/channel sales, ideally with experience co-selling with the GSIsSolid experience in generating pipelineExperience in working in a heavy sales matrix modelRelevant experience and knowledge of open source, enterprise software apps, enterprise integration,AI,SaaS, or Cloud ComputingExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skillsProven ability to drive complex sales cycles, demonstrating multiple stakeholder managementExperience developing successful and scalable technology partnership programsAbility to engage & influence C-Level executivesGiven the profile of this role, we are looking for consistent overachieversThings we loveEnergetic, resourceful, upbeat, entrepreneurial, tenacious team playerPrevious Sales Methodology training a plus (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)College degree in business, economics, engineering, finance, science, math or similarPossess aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility.
