Your duties will include maintaining existing code bases, including bug fixing, and creating apps from scratch as part of a team while following all coding guidelines and industry best practices.ResponsibilitiesDesigning and developing apps for the Android ecosystemCreating tests for code to ensure robustness and performanceFixing known bugs in existing Android applications and adding new featuresWorking with external software libraries and APIsWorking with designers to turn design templates into working appsJob Qualifications and Skill SetBelow are the qualifications expected of an Android developer:Bachelor's degree in computer science, application performance, or a related field4-6 years of experienceSolid understanding of common programming tools and paradigms, such as version control,use of frameworks, and common design patternsProficiency with Android Studio and Android SDK toolsExcellent knowledge of the Java programming languageFamiliarity with mobile applications and development, including the use of hardware such as accelerometer, cameras, and gyroscopesComfortable working as part of a cross-functional team and with code written by others, including bug fixing, and refactoring legacy codeExcellent communication skills
