About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our product engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences with robust performance, scalability, and modern UI design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Architect and implement new features focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Ensure code quality through unit tests, code reviews, and continuous integration practices.
  • Work with third-party APIs, RESTful services, and cloud integrations.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, usability, and responsiveness.
  • Keep up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application performance and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with a deep understanding of Android SDK.
  • Proven experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
  • Solid understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation).
  • Experience in MVVM or MVI architecture patterns.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
  • Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming.
  • Knowledge of Dependency Injection frameworks (e.g., Hilt or Dagger).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
  • Experience working with Google Play Store deployment and app lifecycle management.
