The ideal candidate will be capable of creating effective marketing strategies that assist the efforts of sales teams and generate additional leads. This candidate should be comfortable creating content to aid the sales teams and have an ability to evaluate a marketing campaign to guarantee the best outcome. Additionally, this candidate should have a good understanding of the goals of various salespeople and ultimately operate as a close business partner.
General objective: the business development manager shall be responsible for managing business efforts both internal and external. He shall closely liaise with the engineering and estimation team and manage the quote and rfq process, tendering etc for major customer engagements. Focus will be on driving business development initiatives in the above verticals , identify new projects , constantly liaise with engineering consultants for new project prospects etc.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
- Identify new customers , provide qualified leads
- Develop sales collaterals / custom presentations
- Constantly engage and collaborate with consultants & project managers for new project opportunities
- Convey project requirement to engg team
- Conduct market research and provide sales teams with competitive intelligence
- Generate marketing resources and run campaigns to assist work of sales teams Identify target audiences and potential sales leads through marketing campaigns
- Demonstrate outcomes of marketing efforts through metrics and deliverables
Required qualifications :
Ideal candidate must have 6-8 years of relevant experience in similar role preferably in an engineering company, should be self-motivated with proven success record working with cross functional teams. Should be comfortable working in dynamic technical organization, posess strong inter personal skills and communicate professionally and effectively in English.
- 7-10 years’ experience in sales and business development in similar industry
- A bachelor degree in engineering
- Sound understanding of engineering project activity
- Willing to take up challenges
- Demonstrated skills to manage consultants & specifiers, project managers
- Must have strong presentation skills
- Someone who enjoys the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a growing company
- Proficient in English
