Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Create, maintain, and grow a healthy working relationship with the network services team to ensure alignment. Offer technical and managerial leadership in setting goals and priorities, designing, planning, daily operations, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of the network and security infrastructure.
  • Work with CoE leaders in the development of financial and budgetary plans. Assist the director in the development of the budget and develop project cost estimates.
  • Manage, oversee, and maintain the voice, network, and security infrastructure for all devices. Support the ongoing maintenance of network and security devices by ensuring up-to-date software releases, maintenance of configurations and maintenance of DR plan and testing.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support by troubleshooting, coordinating, and escalating to ensure the recovery of failed components or equipment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors of IT&O products, professional organizations, contract employees, external auditors and consultants.
  • Manage the project portfolio of each member of the team and report project statuses daily. Daily review and triage of all ServiceNow tickets that are in the team’s queue. Organize, plan, assign, and monitor completion of work.
  • Responsible for assisting the Manager of Network Services Engineering to ensure monthly audits for all network services documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Ensure that service resources are assigned for the timely resolution of problems related to carrier circuits, switches, firewalls, voice platforms, and overall network performance.
  • Develop each member of the team and serve as a mentor, coach and teacher, completing frequent formal and informal 1:1 sessions.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study
  • 10+ years' experience in a Network Manager or similar role in the IT industry.
  • 3+ years direct leadership experience
