We're seeking a skilled frontend engineer to join our team and help shape the future of learning and growth.Job Description:Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient frontend systems using React (often with Next.js) and TypeScript.Create intuitive and elegant interfaces.Develop reusable component libraries and design systems to support consistency and speed across multiple product surfaces.Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility at scale.Integrate AI-driven product features and dynamic data flows into the frontend experience.Work within a modern cloud-native stack (e.g., Vercel, AWS/GCP, CI/CD pipelines) alongside backend engineers and infrastructure teams.Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality user interfaces, responses, and components using React, NextJS, TypeScript, and SSR.Collaborate closely with product managers, commercial stakeholders, backend engineers, and users to translate requirements and feedback into effective frontend solutions.Own the user experience, applying best practices in UI/UX, proposing design improvements, and implementing solutions even when detailed mockups are not provided.Write robust unit tests for your code using frameworks like Vitest, and contribute to establishing and maintaining final testing practices (e.g., using Cypress or Playwright).Integrate frontend components with REST Backend APIs.Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily meetings, code reviews, and retrospectives.Contribute to frontend architecture discussions, justifying design choices and helping implement scalable and maintainable solutions.Use Git for version control, following the team's branch and pull request flows.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.6+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on frontend development.Proven experience in building complex applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.Strong reputation in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.Experience with state libraries (e.g., Zustand, Redux, MobX) and ability to adapt to existing patterns.Sound understanding of responsive design principles and experience.Why You'll Love Working Here:You'll be part of a fast-growing innovation company dedicated to improving human lives.Competitive promotion with stock options.Flexible remote work option.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Flexible vacations and PTO.Female founder/CEO.Highly supportive collaborative work environment.BigSpring is an equal opportunity employer.
