The Financial Reporting Manager role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports submitted to regulatory bodies. Key responsibilities include:Regulatory ReportingPreparation of reports for submission to IRDAI/SEBI/Life counsel, providing information/details required by IRDAI/Life counsel etc.Consolidation of data from various sourcesPublic Disclosures through regular reportingBAP Reporting with timely submissionsManagement ReportingProviding data to management as and when requiredInternal reporting – Providing data to actuaries, MIS team on a monthly basisManaging Audits – Support to Statutory/Internal auditors by providing timely data and ensuring successful completion of the sameAudit committee- Preparation of data for the deck, other items to be taken up, closure of audit committee actionable etc.System Enhancements – Testing of system requirements, evaluate new requirements and providing CRs to IT, liase with IT for resolution of defects and delivery, testing of requirementsIn addition to these key responsibilities, the Financial Reporting Manager must also ensure timely submission of reports in line with regulatory and management requirements, and continuous efforts to reduce time taken to make reports with enhanced controls. The role requires automation, compliance, and improvement agenda resulting in improvement of processes.
