Additionally, it entails maintenance, patching, monitoring, and proactive tuning of database performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Installation and Configuration: Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with installing and configuring Oracle databases on various platforms.Performance Tuning: They must possess expertise in performance tuning and query optimization to ensure optimal database performance.Backup and Recovery: The candidate should be well-versed in using RMAN and Oracle Recovery Manager strategies for effective backup and recovery.Database Migration: This role includes involvement in database migration projects, including on-prem to cloud and version upgrades.Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this position, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery. They must also possess expertise in writing complex PL/SQL scripts and shell scripting for automation.A solid understanding of Unix/Linux system administration related to Oracle is essential.
