Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager - Construction IndustryThe role of Senior Accounting Manager - Construction Industry is to lead the financial accounting functions within an organization.This position requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have worked in construction accounting/contractor accounting, with knowledge of % completion method of accounting and experience working on project profitability.About the Role:This position is responsible for all aspects of the accounting operations and cash management of the organization, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets.Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.Prepare and Analyse the monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the monthly close is complete with all general ledger accounts reconciled and analysed, as appropriate, with variance analysis.Coordinate and facilitate the construction draw process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds for construction activities.Manage the yearly audit and tax compliance process, including ensuring all information is in complete, accurate and available for the tax preparers and auditors.Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.Ensuring control over actual expenses vs Budget and participate in cash management position and forecasting.Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.Oversee the use of software, ensuring efficient operation and maximizing use of technology.Requirements:CA / CPA with 8-10 years of experience in the real estate / construction industry.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality of deliverables.Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Must have excellent work ethic, high integrity, and excellent follow-up skills.Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills in decision making.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Superior ability to track and meet deadlines, focused on overcoming obstacles.High level of computer skills, including extensive experience with similar software.Ability to take initiative and manage teams effectively.Benefits:This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.Other Opportunities:We offer a competitive salary package, excellent benefits, and a supportive work environment.
