Production SupervisionMonitor day-to-day finishing operations (washing, softening, stenter, compacting, curing, brushing, etc.).Ensure machines are operating at correct parameters — temperature, pressure, speed, moisture, tension. shrinkage Schedule finishing batches as per production plan and delivery timelines.Maintain continuous workflow to avoid bottlenecks. Quality ControlInspect denim fabric for defects such as shade variation, streaks, slabs, crease marks, uneven finish.Ensure finishing quality meets customer specifications (GSM, shrinkage, softness, hand feel, shade).Coordinate with QA/QC team for approvals and corrective actions.Implement corrective measures for recurring defects. Machine & Process MonitoringOperate and supervise stenter, compactor, over-dryer, curing, and related finishing machines.Set finishing parameters as per fabric type (stretch, rigid, lightweight, heavy-weight denim).Report machine breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance teams. Workforce & Safety ManagementSupervise finishing workers, helpers, and machine operators.Train workers on process standards and safety procedures.Ensure compliance with plant safety policies (PPE, chemicals handling, machine guarding). Documentation & ReportingMaintain production logs, batch reports, machine parameters, and daily shift reports.Record fabric received for finishing, processed output, and wastage.Track fabric defects, reprocessing needs, and rejection levels. CoordinationWork closely with dyeing, washing, QC, and packing departments.Inform management about delays, quality issues, and production requirements.Coordinate with the store for chemicals, softeners, finishing agents, and consumables.
