We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to lead our data infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and scaling robust data pipelines that power nationwide analytics and support machine learning systems.About the RoleKey ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines using Python (Pandas, PySpark) and SQL, orchestrated with Airflow (MWAA).This role requires strong experience in developing and maintaining the SAIVA Data Lake/Lakehouse on AWS, ensuring quality, governance, scalability, and accessibility.The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with distributed data processing jobs using Spark on AWS EMR and/or EKS.They will implement batch and streaming ingestion frameworks (APIs, databases, files, event streams), enforce validation and quality checks to ensure reliable analytics and ML readiness.Monitoring and troubleshooting pipelines with CloudWatch, integrating observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog is also a crucial aspect of this role.Automating infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, following AWS best practices is another key responsibility.The selected candidate will manage SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake integrations into the Lakehouse.Participating in an on-call rotation to support pipeline health and resolve incidents quickly is essential.Writing production-grade code, contributing to design/code reviews, and engineering best practices are also expected.Required Skills & QualificationsProficient in Python (Pandas, PySpark) and SQLStrong experience with Airflow (MWAA)Familiarity with SAIVA Data Lake/Lakehouse on AWSHands-on experience with Spark on AWS EMR and/or EKSImplementing batch and streaming ingestion frameworks (APIs, databases, files, event streams)Validating and enforcing quality checks for analytics and ML readinessExperience with CloudWatch and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog)Terraform automation for infrastructure provisioningSQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake integration expertiseOn-call rotation participationProduction-grade coding skillsDesign/code review and engineering best practicesBenefitsA competitive compensation packageA collaborative and dynamic work environmentOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesHow to ApplyPlease submit your application, including your resume and cover letter.
