JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Network Manager with 12+ years of expertise in managing complex network infrastructures (preferred Manufacturing industry).
The candidate would need to oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization's networks, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency.
This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, performance optimization, and cybersecurity best practices.
The Network Manager will lead a team of network engineers and administrators to provide reliable, scalable, and secure network services across the organization.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Network Architecture & Design:
Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s network architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
Oversee the design and deployment of LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and other communication systems.
Ensure network redundancy and high availability through the use of appropriate technologies (e.g., failover mechanisms, load balancing).
Network Performance & Optimization:
Monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues proactively, including latency, bottlenecks, and outages.
Ensure optimal bandwidth utilization and manage network capacity planning to meet business needs.
Implement and manage performance tuning and optimization for network systems.
Security & Compliance:
Oversee network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and access control policies to safeguard the organization’s data.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations , security standards and TKM security guidelines.
Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
Team Leadership & Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers and administrators.
Provide guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Foster a collaborative team environment and promote continuous professional development for team members.
Network Operations & Maintenance:
Manage day-to-day network operations, including troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
Develop and implement policies for network configuration, monitoring, and performance management.
Ensure that the network team adheres to established protocols, including change management processes and service level agreements (SLAs).
Vendor & Technology Management:
Collaborate with network hardware and software vendors to ensure appropriate products and services are procured and maintained.
Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and innovations to ensure that the organization’s infrastructure remains cutting-edge and efficient.
Oversee vendor management, service agreements, and third-party contracts related to network infrastructure.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
Design and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure business continuity in the event of a network failure.
Ensure regular backups of critical network configurations and systems.
Coordinate network failover strategies and conduct regular tests to ensure readiness.
Documentation & Reporting:
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all network configurations, policies, procedures, and system architecture.
Create detailed network performance reports and present findings to senior management.
Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements through accurate and up-to-date network documentation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
10+ years of experience in network management and administration, including LAN, WAN, and wireless network technologies.
5+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing network teams and projects.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of network architecture, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Expertise in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, etc.).
Hands-on experience with network management and monitoring tools.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network security appliances, and encryption technologies.
Experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
Familiarity with network automation and scripting tools.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Certifications (Preferred):
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
CompTIA Network+ or Security+
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
ITIL Certification or PMP (Project Management Professional)
