Job Overview:The Software Engineering Leadership Position is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall technical direction of software product development teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and maintenance of new and existing software products and solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.Manage a team of full-stack software engineers in a fast-paced environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.Collaborate with Product and Design teams to shape innovative solutions that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.Develop plans, schedules, estimates, and allocate resources effectively, leveraging both waterfall and agile methodologies.Drive a culture of quality coding practices and secure software design, promoting continuous improvement and learning.Maintain expertise in CI/CD and DevOps practices, applying them to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.Analyze issues, assess impact, and perform enhancements and defect resolution, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime.Apply object-oriented design principles and agile methodologies to drive software development and delivery.Advise on best practices while being aware of their practical limitations, providing guidance and support to the team.Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process, maintaining high standards of quality.Develop new features to a high standard of quality, ensuring they meet customer requirements and business objectives.Understand secure software design, apply best practices, and spot potential problems in systems, ensuring robustness and reliability.Advise the technology organization on system improvements to meet current and future demands, driving strategic decision-making.Establish software development patterns for the development team, promoting consistency and efficiency.Review code to ensure standards, advise on improvements, and mentor team members, enhancing skills and knowledge.Design new systems and refactor legacy systems as needed, ensuring they align with business goals and technical excellence.Proactively work with the business to understand and clarify requirements, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Communicate issues, plans, and statuses to a variety of stakeholders, maintaining transparency and trust.Own projects end-to-end, delivering against estimates on time with high quality, demonstrating accountability and ownership.
